Join the Clendon Business Association — annual membership $250, supporting the programs that keep Clendon thriving.
The Clendon Park Business Association Incorporated (CPBA) is an incorporated society, formed in early 2018 to address ongoing issues around Clendon — including safety and security, property management, rubbish, and the negative perception and appearance of the town centre.
The CPBA is the collective voice for the Clendon business community. All businesses within the area are encouraged to join.
What your membership supports
Since CPBA was formed, member contributions have funded — alongside partnership funding from the Manurewa Local Board — a sustained programme of practical improvements to the Clendon town centre:
- Proactive property management for Clendon Shopping Centre, contracted to a dedicated company
- Carpark improvements, including regular sweeping, upgraded lighting, and a new rubbish lock-up
- A contracted security company with an increased number of security guards on site
- More cleaners working across the shopping centre
- Partnership with the Manurewa Local Board, enabling funding and ongoing funding mechanisms
- Partnership with the Manurewa Business Association, providing efficient shared management, staffing, and administration
- Clendon Pride, working alongside CPBA to beautify gardens and surrounding community spaces
- Town Ambassadors patrolling Clendon daily and reporting security and maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities
Fee and meetings
An annual membership fee of $250.00 supports these programmes and ensures they continue.
Monthly meetings are held with the CPBA committee. All owners, tenants, and representatives are welcome and encouraged to attend.
